A-G faces Public Accounts Committee over judgment debts paid to CP

Attorney General Ben Kumbour will appear before Parliament’s Public Accounts Committee today to explain some anomalies that have been detected in the payment of judgment debt to construction firm Construction Pioneers.

The minister’s scheduled appearance today will come after his predecessor former AG Betty Mould Iddrissu and a former AG in the erstwhile Kufuor administration Joe Ghartey also came before the committee some two weeks ago.

At the time, Mrs Mould Iddrissu told the committee she could not speak to the issue because she does not have access to documents relating to the agreement.

Vice Chairman of the committee Kwaku Agyemang Manu told Joy News today’s appearance by the Attorney General should clarify some questions about 80 million dollars paid by government to Construction Pioneers.
