A Kumasi based powerful traditional priest of international repute, Nana Badu of the Amapae Dwa shrine at Atwima Akropong in the Atwima Nwabiagya District of Ashanti Region has stressed the need for chiefs to stop polluting river bodies by way of selling lands that links to rivers in the country.

The priest observed that act of polluting rivers is customarily unacceptable since mankind?s life depends on water. Speaking to this paper, Nana Badu expressed worry that inspite of the role that water plays in human?s life for health living some chiefs tends to be blinded and sell lands that links to water bodies for building purposes.

Nana Badu advised chiefs that as the custom demands it is through custom recognition that have made Asantehene to clock and celebrated his 15th anniversary on his enstoolment on the prestigious seat of the golden stool, and as such chiefs should be disciplined and learn the footsteps of Asantehene and avoid acts that would raise eyebrow problems in the society. Congratulating Otumfuo for his anniversary he thanked his colleague, traditional priests and priestess who honored Asantehene?s invitation to display and exhibit custom that brought about the existence of Ashanti Kingdom. He charged his colleagues to work hard, law abiding and contribute positively towards the rapid socio ? economic development of the country, as he put it without hardwork the country stands to collapse,
