Asuofua (Ash),Feb 7, GNA ? The Youth for Change Educational Complex (YFC) at Asuofua in the Atwima-Nwabiagya District has taken delivery of educational materials valued at about GH? 6,000. The items are 10 desktop computers, a projector, office furniture, books, playing equipment and toys.

They were gifts from some educational institutions in Demark – Rungsted High School and Virum School, and shipped into the country by ?Steps in Ghana?, an NGO.

Mr. Mogens Hansen, Principal of the Rungsted High School, at a ceremony to hand over the items, appealed to the management of the educational complex to make maximum use of them to bring the expected benefits to the pupils.

He spoke of plans to encourage Danish volunteers to come and work in different capacities at the complex to help the children to fully exploit their talents in both academic and other co-educational activities.

Mr Ali Ibrahim, the Proprietor, said the school was established to aid children irrespective of their socio-economic background to have access to quality education.

He said as a former assembly member for Asuofua, he was very much aware of the challenges many people go through in their pursuit of academic careers and that was why he took advantage of his educational programme in Denmark to seek assistance for school children in the area.

He said he would do everything he could to assist the children to grow into responsible adults, ready to assume the mantle of leadership of the nation.
